Back and front of Beanos records shop sleeve. Once one the largest second hand record shop in the Europe, finally closed in 2008 after 30 years trading.
I don't think many artists had their own company sleeve. But then Elvis was The King after all... From around 72-74? The photo is from the 1968 tv special anyway.
Look at the little orchestra on the back! This is not actually a company sleeve, it's from an old record store in Stockholm, Sweden. I'm guessing mid-fifties to early sixties. The store was called Skivbörsen.
now this really is a record envelope! thanks to Henrik who plays records at the tiki bar in Stockholm on a saturday night for this fantastic cardboard sleeve.
something for the weekend, this very fragile record bag was given to me by my friend Guy in Essex. simple black graphics printed over pink and white stripe bag, gorgeous. brilliant to see an original sleeve for an old London record shop 'stockists of all makes of records'. Thanks Guy!
